Novartis now introduces CML Alliance, a new clinical support program, available in select countries, with a key goal: to help optimize outcomes in Ph+ CML patients. CML Alliance offers a number of valuable resources for healthcare providers who treat CML and their patients. The program resources provided in each country vary depending on local legal and regulatory specifications.
CML Alliance patient support resources may include:
- Standardized Glivec® blood-level testing to help evaluate clinical situations related to concerns including adherence, drug-drug interactions, less-than-expected response and unusually severe side effects
- Initiatives designed to further improve molecular monitoring in CML
- Support for the development of a global standards for performing and interpreting the results of PCR that will enable clinicians to better track responses at a molecular level along with regular hematologic and cytogenetic response evaluation
- Facilitating the availability of PCR testing throughout the world
- Convenience of a single point of contact to access clinical trials of existing Novartis therapies and new investigational agents for patients with all stages of CML
- Support for research and professional education on the molecular biology and management of CML
